traveling between Warburton and Melbourne. Yarra Junction is just
that. Yarra Junction is a cross roads town, and this factor
predetermined a steady growth for this Melbourne satellite community.
Yarra Junction has a population of circa 1800 and
growing.
The Post Office opened on 20 November 1901, a week
after the railway arrived.

up in the town before moving to Melbourne in his late teens for
school.

discovered church
The Yarra junction War Memorial is an
‘old’ cenotaph in the centre of the town.
The Yarra Junction Museum is a Rail
orientated exhibit. The museum looks to be great value with a number
of external artefacts

on the junction’ hub._small.JPG)
Yarra Junction is a new town and over
time will be another Melbourne suburb. If passing through a coffee or
